Mr. Kwan Lok So 苏君乐先生

President, EVG Enterprises
Foundation Trustee, University of California at San Diego

So Kwan Lok has lived in Southern California for over 45 years and is currently the president of EVG Enterprises, Inc. A young Mr. So moved from place to place throughout southern region of China during the Second World War, prior to coming to the United States in 1951. In his early professional career, he worked in the auto mechanical industry for 6 years, specializing in research and development, and then worked in the aerospace industry for 8 years until finally entering the field of corporate management. Thus far, he has over 40 years of real estate experience which includes acquisition, property management, sales, marketing, development and construction. In the late 1970’s, he founded a bank where he served as board director, loan committee chairman, audit committee chairman and member of the executive committee for 18 years. Then during the 2005 and 2006 time period, he was asked to join the board of another bank.

To date, he has an 18-year association with the University of California, San Diego where he presently serves as the university foundation trustee for the third term, is a foundation audit committee member, and is an executive committee member of the International Advisory Board of the Graduate School of International Relations and Pacific Studies at UCSD. Additionally, he is an independent director of Yue Yuen Industries, an international conglomerate based in Asia.

Mr. So holds a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering with honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He continued his postgraduate studies within the aeronautics department at the California Institute of Technology.
