Dr. Sandra A. Wawrytko, M.A., Ph.D. (Philosophy, Washington University at St. Louis; Phi Beta Kappa, Mortar Board) is faculty in the Department of Philosophy at San Diego State University.  She has authored several books, including CRYSTAL: Spectrums of Chinese Culture Through Poetry (Peter Lang, 1995), The Buddhist Religion (Wadsworth, 1996), and Chinese Philosophy in Cultural Context (Montezuma Publishing), and has edited more than ten volumes.  Currently she is Editor of the Asian Thought and Culture series published by Peter Lang.  She is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Chinese Philosophy and is founder and President of the Charles Wei-hsun Fu Foundation, a non-profit educational foundation dedicated to promoting scholarship on Asia.  Recent publications include: “Deconstructing Deconstruction: Zhuang Zi as Butterfly, Nietzsche as Gadfly,”  Philosophy East and West; “Winning Ways: The Viability (Dao) and Virtuosity (De) of Sun Zi’s Methods of Warfare (Bing Fa),” Journal of Chinese Philosophy; “Holding Up the Mirror to Buddha-Nature: Discerning the Ghee in the Lotus Sutra,” Dao: A Journal of Comparative Philosophy; “The Viability (Dao) and Virtuosity (De) of Daoist Ecology: Reversion (Fu) as Renewal,” Journal of Chinese Philosophy.
